Iredell County One-Stop Early Voting Guide: Where To Go

Early in-person voting is set to begin Oct. 15 in Iredell County. Here's how to check your voting status and find your polling site.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — While absentee voting has been underway for a month in North Carolina, in-person early voting is set to soon begin in Iredell County.

One Stop early voting begins Thursday, Oct. 15 and runs through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Here's what you need to know in order to cast your vote.

Find Your Polling Place
Voters may check their registration status, see sample ballots and find their election day polling place through the North Carolina State Board of Elections site, found here.

Registered voters who do not vote through absentee or early ballots must vote at their assigned polling place, according to the Iredell County Board of Elections.

Early Voting
"Any registered voter in Iredell County is welcome to take advantage of ANY of the One-Stop (Early Voting) sites," ICBE said in a statement.

Iredell County One-Stop Early Voting sites will be located at:

  • Board of Elections, 203 Stockton Street, Statesville
  • War Memorial, 220 N. Maple Street, Mooresville
  • Peninsula Baptist Church, 687 Brawley School Road, Mooresville
  • Mt. Mourne IB School, 1431 Meckleburg Hwy., Mooresville
  • Troutman Baptist Church, 305 Perry Road, Troutman
  • Harmony/North Iredell American Legion Post #113, 3085 Harmony Hwy., Harmony

Voters will also be able to register and vote at the same time during One-Stop early voting scheduled at the six polling sites around the county.

Mail-In Ballots
Voters who intend to vote by mail and need to register must do so by Friday, October 9, ICBE said.

County election officials began mailing out absentee ballots for the general election on Friday, Sept. 4, and will continue to do so through Oct. 27. The last day to return an absentee ballot is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

How To Request A Mail-In Ballot

  • Forms requesting a mail-in ballot are available online.
  • Forms must be signed by the voter and may be returned by the voter, a near relative of the voter or a verifiable legal guardian.
  • Forms may be mailed to the Iredell County Board of Elections, 203 Stockton Street, Statesville, NC 28677
  • Voters may call the Board of Elections at 704-878-3140 for additional information.
