Patch Readers' Look-Alike Photos: Mother’s Day 2018

Take a look, then help Patch celebrate Mother's Day 2018 by sending in your own mother-child lookalike photos.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Maybe it's nature. Maybe it's nurture. Maybe — and this is how we're leaning — it's a little bit of both. But if you look around, it's not hard to find children who grow to become reflections of the women who raised them.

With Mother's Day 2018 this weekend, Patch celebrated that special bond by inviting readers in the Charlotte metro area to share their look-alike photos. And, as always, Patch readers didn't disappoint.

Davidson resident Annie Seier sent us this incredibly adorable photo with her mini-me Oona. “Oona, you are a ball of Fire with a heart of gold. I love you strength and spirit. You are strong and confident and I love you more than words.”

“Luke, being your mom has been like winning the mega lottery,” said Jeannie Preuter. “The taxes have been high, but OMG I won the Mega lottery! I love you, my first born baby.”

Here is an adorable photo of Jessica Panzica and her 5-year-old daughter, Amelia. “I love being her mom! She is the best daughter and I could not ask for a more loving girl!"

Sara Greene is one proud mother of her 22-year-old twins, Korin and Dillon. “What an amazing blessing to have had these 2 as my children, I am a proud Mother of both, they have great jobs and wonderful soul mates they are spending their life with. Before ya know it, Grand babies will be in their sweet little thoughts.... let our journey grow!”

Here’s Jamie McPeak and her daughter. And you don't need glasses to see this dynamic duo is related.

And then there was this sweet photo sent in by Scott Power. “My beautiful wife and daughter Ashley and Addy. They are the reasons I wake up everyday," he said.

Patch reader Katy Cumbo sent in this sweet photo with her mother Sandy Leary. “ She will hate this photo because we were on the beach all day and no makeup, etc; however, I think she is beautiful no matter what. She has been an incredible mother and grandmother!!”

Cumbo is a mother of three boys — Luke, Cole and Liam. She says, “I have been blessed to beyond measure because of my boys. Two years ago they walked me down the aisle on my wedding day in Huntersville, which is where the picture was taken (right before I put on my dress). As much as I try to be the rock for my boys the reality is they are mine!!”

"My sweet girl," says this reader.

We definitely believe these two beauties — Briana and Brandy — are related.

Happy Mother's Day to all the originals and carbon copies who checked in with us! Now, it's your turn.

Show us what traits you and your mom share. Submit your lookalike photos by sending them to kimberly.johnson@patch.com. Be sure to include a nice message for your loved one, as well as the city/location of the photo and the date it was taken. We'll work up another post after Sunday to share some of our favorites.
