Rain, Possibility Of Snow Back In Mooresville Forecast
It's going to rain this week and there's even a possibility of snow. Here's what the National Weather Service says we can expect.
MOORESVILLE, NC — This week will be a soggy one for much of North Carolina, with rain possibly turning into snow by Thursday for areas of the Piedmont, including the greater Charlotte metro, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain showers will begin Tuesday evening and are expected to linger into Wednesday. Precipitation is expected to taper off Wednesday night, but will likely return by Thursday evening, when it could turn into snow, NWS said.
Don’t break out the snow shovel just yet, however. Any snowfall will be light and no accumulation is expected, forecasters said.

We're continuing to monitor the possibility of rain changing to snow Thursday night. Location and accumulations remain highly uncertain, however, areas east of US-1 in #NCwx will have the best chance of seeing light amounts of snow sticking to grassy and elevated surfaces. pic.twitter.com/UXvoVOWSGQ
