Rowan Man Faces Multiple Sexual Assault Charges In Iredell County
The victim told Iredell County authorities the assaults occurred in locations around Iredell County in 2007 when they were a juvenile.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County authorities arrested a Rowan County man Tuesday, accusing him of sexual assault of a juvenile in eastern Iredell County 14 years ago.
Charles Irvin Wiles, 30, of Alan Circle in Salisbury was arrested and charged with multiple crimes including felony first-degree sexual offense and felony indecent liberties with a child, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Friday.
Last week, a report was filed with authorities alleging sexual assault occurred at several locations in Iredell County including Statesville during the period of January 2007 through August 2007 when the victim was a juvenile, ICSO said.

"The Statesville Police Department was notified and also began an investigation into Wiles," the sheriff's office said.
Wiles was arrested May 18 in Rowan County and charged with three felony warrants obtained by the sheriff's office that including two counts of felony first degree sexual offense and one count of felony indecent liberties with a child.

"In addition, Wiles was served with four additional Counts of First Degree Sexual Offense stemming from the Statesville Police Department’s investigation," ICSO said.
Wiles secured bond was set at $200,000.
