Suspect Wanted On Assault, Kidnapping Charges In Mooresville: MPD
Donnie Lee Cherry is wanted by Mooresville police, who say he left a 12-year-old boy with serious injuries during a recent attack.

MOORESVILLE, NC — The Mooresville Police Department is asking for the community's assistance locating a man they say is wanted for assaulting three people and holding them against their will in a Lee Street home in late May.
One of the victims was a 12-year-old boy, who was seriously injured, MPD said.
The incident occurred May 27 in a home on Lee Street in Mooresville.

"Cherry has active Warrants for Arrest for First Degree Kidnapping (two counts), Second Degree Kidnapping, Interfere with Emergency Communications (two counts), Communicating Threats (three counts), Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury (two counts), Assault By Strangulation, and Assault on a Female," MPD said.
Police said anyone with information regarding Cherry's whereabouts is asked to contact the Mooresville Police Department at 704-664-3311.
