Suspect Wanted In North Iredell Burglary Identified, Charged

Corey Allan Richardson, 34, is accused of attempting to break into a home last month in Hiddenite, Iredell County Sheriff's Office said.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A suspect caught on a security camera attempting to break into a north Iredell County home last month has been apprehended and charged, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Monday morning.

Last month, ICSO asked for the community's help identifying the male suspect caught on camera driving a 2010 or 2011 teal color Toyota Camry in the area around the time of the March 16 incident on Hill Farm Road in Hiddenite. "The male pried open a door to a crawl space on the home then attempted to enter the residence through a door in the garage," ICSO said in a statement. "A resident of the home was on the phone with 911 and scared the suspect off."
