​A home in Mooresville is seriously damaged after a tree fell in Sunday's storm, according to reports.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A home in Mooresville is seriously damaged after a tree fell in Sunday's storm, according to reports.

The tree fell in the 300 block of East McLelland Ave., the Mooresville Tribune reports.

No one was injured, officials said.

Several trees were downed in the area, including one that fell on a home on Stone Ridge Lane in Mount Mourne. A tree also fell at the Center Avenue Apartments in the 300 block of Center Ave.

Tens of thousands of residents are without power after severe storms downed trees and power lines in the Charlotte area Sunday afternoon.

Duke Energy estimated about 43,000 customers were without power in North Carolina.

Interstate 77 was closed in both directions because of downed power lines in Davidson, the North Carolina Department of Transportation said.
