Winter Weather Advisory For NC: Snow, Ice Possible
A winter weather advisory will be in effect tonight in our region. Here's what the forecast says to expect Wednesday morning.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A winter weather advisory will go into effect late Tuesday night for much of the piedmont of North Carolina, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory will go into effect at 12 a.m. Dec. 16 until noon.
"Freezing rain is expected, mixed with snow and sleet at times early in the morning," the NWS said. Total snow accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulates of around one tenth of an inch."

Rain likely, mainly after 5am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 33. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Wednesday (Dec. 16)
Rain, mainly before 5pm. Patchy fog. High near 39. North northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

A 30 percent chance of rain before 7pm. Patchy fog before 7pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Light west wind. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
