Dilworth Restaurant Closed For Hurricane, Won’t Reopen
Dilworth eatery Babalu Tapas & Tacos has closed down after two years on East Boulevard.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A Dilworth restaurant locked its doors last week as Hurricane Florence barreled toward North Carolina, and decided to not reopen them, according to a report.
Babalu Tapas & Tacos, located at 1511 East Boulevard, has operated in the 5,200-square-foot space for two years and management said in June 2016 that a long-term lease had been signed, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
Another Babalu location is currently being built in the Waverly mixed-use development in South Charlotte that is about the same size, the Business Journal said.
