Man’s Body Found On Trail Behind Apartments In East Charlotte

Charlotte police found the body of Shakier Henderson, 21, Friday morning on a trail behind an apartment complex off W.T. Harris Boulevard.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A homicide investigation is underway in east Charlotte after a body was discovered along a trail behind an apartment complex off east W.T. Harris Boulevard Friday morning, according to police.

Police identified the victim as Shakier Henderson, 21.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police received a call around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning, and officers located Henderson’s body on the trail located in the 7000 block of Snow Lane behind Albemarle Road Recreation Center while conducting a welfare check, CMPD said in a statement. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

CMPD asks that anyone with information about this incident call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide detective, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
