Charles Pfelier was reported missing July 18. Charlotte police say no foul play is suspected in his death.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The search for a missing Charlotte man who went missing almost one week ago was called off Tuesday morning after his body was located, according to Charlotte police, who say no foul play is suspected in his death.
Police had asked for the public's help locating Charles Pfeiler after he was reporting missing July 18. Pfeiler, 48, left his home on Ashton Gate Drive in southeast Charlotte on a grey Trek mountain-style bike, headed to an unknown destination. After he failed to come back home or contact family members following the bike ride, his family called police around 8:45 p.m. that night to report him missing.
There was concern for his safety and wellbeing, police said at the time.
