SouthPark Restaurant Among Best For Southern Food: OpenTable

CHARLOTTE, NC -- As summer begins to wind down — only 45 days left — it’s only natural that gastro yearnings lean toward meals with an al fresco flare. And while there’s plenty of time to take dinner outside, the folks at OpenTable have made a list of the 50 best southern restaurants in the U.S. that they says “evokes all the joys of summer picnic fare without having to break a sweat.”

Six North Carolina restaurants, including Dogwood Southern Table & Bar in SouthPark, made the list, according to OpenTable.

The hospitality website’s list was based upon 12 million OpenTable diner reviews at more than 27,000 restaurants. Results include eateries in 14 states, including 10 in the south, as well as Washington, D.C. You can read more about the methodology here.
