Lake Wylie Search Underway For Missing Charlotte Woman
Vatsla Watkins, 39, left her home early Sunday morning, but has not been seen or heard from by her family since, police said.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are searching the Lake Wylie area and asking for the public’s help locating a missing Charlotte woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from by her family since she left the family home in the early morning hours Sunday.
Vatsla Watkins, 39, left her home March 18 in a sliver 2004 four-door Mercedes-Benz C230, with a Carolina Panthers North Carolina license tag 8215CP, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Watkins’ car was located at Pier 49 at Lake Wylie, prompting a police search of the lake Friday morning.

She is described as 5-foot, 4-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black lightweight jacket and blue jeans.
CMPD asks that anyone who has information about Watkins or her car call 911 immediately, or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
