Police Search For Suspect Seen Running In Video: WATCH
Do you recognize this suspect running in a security video? CMPD says he is a suspect wanted for shooting a man in the back Saturday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect caught on security camera footage running from the scene of a shooting in Uptown over the weekend that sent one man to the hospital.
According to police, they received a 911 call shortly after 2:30 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 200 block of East 3rd Street in Charlotte, and found 32-year-old Tony Davis with a gunshot wound in his back. Davis was transported to Atrium Health with non-life threatening injuries, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
“Further information gathered during the course of the investigation revealed that the incident was drug related and occurred at a parking lot near the intersection of 4th Street and Brevard Street,” CMPD said in a statement, adding that Davis was charged with cocaine possession upon his release from the hospital.
CMPD detectives are now hoping someone in the community will recognize the gunman, who is now wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.
