3 High School Students Shot Near Family Dollar Store: Reports

The victims were left with serious injuries after a shooting near a Family Dollar in east Charlotte, according to reports.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Three high school students were shot Tuesday afternoon and all left with serious injuries after an incident that began outside a Family Dollar store in east Charlotte, according to reports.

Charlotte police are investigating the incident that occurred around 4 p.m. at the Family Dollar located near Milton Road in Charlotte, WSOC reported. The station, which flew a helicopter over the scene, reported that a vehicle “appeared to have its windows shot out.”

Two of the three gunshot victims were found at the store location and were listed as having serious injuries, police told the station. Another victim was found at an apartment complex off Barrington Drive, less than a half mile away, where police believe they ran in an attempt to find help, the station said.
