Fire Dive Team, Police Search Northeast Charlotte Pond

The dive team is searching a pond off Orr Road after workers in the area reported tire tracks leading into it, according to a report.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A team of divers from the Charlotte Fire Department searched a retention pond in northeast Charlotte Thursday morning after police received a 911 call about tire tracks leading into it, according to a report.

At least a dozen firefighters and police officers responded to the scene near the 6900 block of Orr Road Thursday morning around 10:30 a.m., WSOC reported. The station, which flew a helicopter over the area, reported that in the pond was “what appears to be a vehicle.”
