Lockdown Lifted At Ranson Middle School: Report

Ranson Middle School was placed on lockdown due to police activity in the area Thursday morning.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A lockdown at Ranson Middle School in north Charlotte has been lifted, according to a report.

The school was placed on lockdown Thursday morning due to police activity in the area, school officials said. The school is located at 5850 Statesville Road in north Charlotte.

WSOC reported, however, that the lockdown was spurred by the discovery of a firearm found at the school.
