Free Cybersecurity Training for Transitioning Veterans
6-Week Immersion Program Offers Advanced Technical Training, Industry-Recognized Certifications and a Fast Track to a Cybersecurity Career

Transitioning service members offer a unique set of skills making them well suited for cybersecurity jobs.
SANS Institute, the world’s largest information security training and certification organization, is offering full scholarships to best-in-class cybersecurity training to transitioning military in Charlotte and surrounding communities. The SANS VetSuccess Immersion Academy is a six-week hands-on immersion training program. Participants receive advanced technical training, certifications and connections to high-paying jobs in cybersecurity. The program is 100 percent scholarship based. SANS has trained more than 165,000 information security professionals around the globe.

VetSuccess is a simple, direct path to rewarding careers in cybersecurity. Interested veterans must show aptitude and skills using the SANS CyberTalent Assessment and participate in interviews with executives from SANS Institute. Accepted participants will receive industry leading curriculum and hands-on learning taught by expert SANS faculty. Graduates earn the associated GIAC certification – recognized and accepted by employers around the world.
