Get Ready For Rain: Charlotte Weekend Forecast
Showers starting Saturday could turn to dangerous thunderstorms in the Charlotte-metro region this weekend.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Showers beginning in the early morning hours Saturday could turn heavy, leading to localized flooding by Sunday, National Weather Service forecasters warned Friday.
Rain will edge into the Charlotte-metro region after 4 a.m. Saturday morning, with showers likely around midday. The chance of rain picks up significantly later in the day, as will the wind, with gusts possible as high as 21 mph.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for much of the foothills and piedmont of North Carolina for Feb. 11, when rain will turn heavy. “Periods of moderate to occasionally heavy rain are expected across the foothills and Piedmont throughout the weekend. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches appear likely by Sunday evening. This could lead to localized flooding issues,” NWS said.
