Homicide Investigation Underway After Body Found In Vehicle

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was discovered late Wednesday night in a vehicle near Charlotte Country Club.

According to a statement made by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, police responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon in the 2500 block of Roseview Lane around 11 p.m. Responding officers found the male victim, who has not yet been identified pending notification of family, inside the vehicle.

CMPD asks that anyone with information about this incident call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a homicide unit detective or call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
