Larceny Suspect On The Run After Cutting Off Monitor: CMPD
Kareem Jahmal Martin, 35, cut off his electronic monitor Tuesday. He's wanted for stealing motor vehicles, police said.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A man awaiting trial for stealing a car is now on the run after he cut off his electronic monitor, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Kareem Jahmal Martin, 35, removed the monitor, which was court-ordered as a condition of his pretrial release, Oct. 30. He was last known to be in the 2000 block of Oaklawn Avenue in central Charlotte, CMPD said.
Martin is awaiting trial for larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, felony larceny and conspiracy to commit felony larceny. He is now also wanted for damage ot property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

He is described as 6-foot, 1-inch tall, and weighing about 190 pounds.
CMPD asks that anyone with information about his location call 911 or CMPD’s electronic monitoring unit at 704-432-8888, option #3.
