These two Charlotte-area elementary schools that had unexpected days off now have make-up days scheduled.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Make-up days for unexpected school closures for two Charlotte-area schools have been scheduled, Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools said Friday morning.
Hidden Valley Elementary was forced to close for a day Sept. 13 after a widespread power outage. It’s make-up day is now set for Wednesday, Dec. 20, which was originally the first day of Winter break for students. Earlier this month, school officials abruptly closed Sterling Elementary in Pineville for teachers, students and staff on Oct. 10 “out of an abundance of caution” after a threat was made against the school. It’s make-up day has been set for Monday, Jan. 22, CMS said.
