Homicide Investigation Launched After Fatal Shooting: CMPD

A man was found shot around 11 a.m. in east Charlotte and now a homicide investigation is underway, according to police.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police launched a homicide investigation Monday morning after a man found shot died from him injuries at an area hospital.

According to an account by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, responding officers found the gunshot victim around 11 a.m. Jan. 14 in the 3100 block of Sharon Amity Drive. The adult male was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

CMPD asks that anyone with information about this incident call 704-432-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
