Man Stabbed To Death In Fight With Roommate: CMPD
Police have launched a murder investigation after a Charlotte man was found stabbed to death in his home. Here's what police are saying.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police launched a murder investigation early Friday after a man was found stabbed to death in his apartment. According to police, the victim was stabbed to death during a fight with his roommate.
It is the 40th homicide in Charlotte this year, WSOCTV reported.
Officers responded to the apartment located in the 4500 block of Pertch Court after receiving a 911 call from the suspect around 3:30 a.m. April 26. There, they found the male victim, who had been stabbed numerous times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released pending family notification.

The suspect, who also was not immediately identified, remained on the scene until officers arrived.
“The initial investigation has revealed that the victim and the male suspect lived together in the apartment,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement. “A physical altercation took place between the two of them resulting in the suspect being stabbed and killed.”

The suspect, who was also injured in the incident, was been transported by medic to Atrium Carolinas Medical Center where he is being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
