New Principal Named For Garinger High School
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education has named Sharon Allen Bracey principal of Garinger High School.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Garinger High School’s interim principal Sharon Allen Bracey has been named principal of the northeast Charlotte school, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced Tuesday.
Bracey was named principal during the March 26 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education meeting.
Bracey, who has served in the role of interim principal at the school since 2018, was assistant principal from 2014 through 2018, CMS said. Prior to that, she was assistant principal at Mallard Creek High for a year and assistant principal at North Rowan High from 2011 through 2013.

She was also dean of students and a teacher at Mallard Creek High from 2007 to 2010.
Bracey has a bachelor’s degree in sociology/social studies education from Winthrop University, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and a master’s degree in school administration from Queens University in Charlotte.
