Police Search For Masked Armed Robber Who Shot Store Clerk
Police are hoping someone will recognize this man, who they say shot a clerk during an armed robbery in Charlotte this week.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for shooting a convenience store clerk in the leg during an armed robbery earlier this week.
The robbery occurred shortly after 1 a.m. May 26 at the Corner Mark located at 2101 Eastway Drive in Charlotte, according to a report from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
“The suspect, who was armed with a handgun, fired multiple shots and struck the store clerk in the leg,” CMPD said.

The suspect then demanded money and fled from the scene.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5-foot, 10-inches and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow bandana covering his head and a black banana covering his face. He was wearing a black jacket with white stripes, black pants, and black and white sneakers.

Police said that anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any other information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
