Police Search For Suspect Wanted On Firearm Charges

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police are asking for the community’s help locating a suspect wanted on numerous charges after he cut off his court-ordered electronic monitor Monday.

Hakeem Darnell Dickens, 26, is wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon and carrying a concealed weapon. He now faces additional charges including damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.

Dickens was ordered to wear the device as a condition of his pretrial release. He was last known to be in the area of 2700 Lasalle Street in Charlotte, police said.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department asks that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the Electronic Monitoring Unit at 704-432-8888, option #3 or call 911.
