Possible Showers: Charlotte's Columbus Day Weekend Weather
The weekend highs will be in the mid 80s, with a chance of showers every day, according to forecasters.

CHARLOTTE, NC — The work week will wrap up with plenty of sunshine and warm summer-like temperatures Friday, however that will all change by Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance of rain moves into the region Saturday, with thunderstorms becoming possible after 4 p.m. forecasters said. Cloudy skies and possible showers stay in the forecast through Sunday evening. On Monday — Columbus Day — the sun is expected to return with a high of 83 degrees.

Friday (Oct. 5)
Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind.
Friday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers after 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. Light east northeast wind.
Saturday (Oct. 6)
A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. East northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. East wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday (Oct. 7)
A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68.
Columbus Day (Oct. 8)
Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
Monday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.
