Woman Faces Murder Charge In Domestic Dispute Fatal Shooting

Luis Felipe Ramirez-Flores, 28, was shot and killed in a Hidden Valley apartment early Sunday morning, according to police.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead in what authorities said was a domestic dispute.

According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department report, officers responded to a call regarding a domestic violence incident at an apartment in the 1000 block of Tara Lane in north Charlotte around 6:30 a.m. March 10.

When they arrived, a male gunshot victim was discovered in the apartment. The victim, who was later identified as Luis Felipe Ramirez-Flores, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“At this point in the investigation, it appears to be a domestic related incident and we are not searching for a suspect,” CMPD said Sunday.

A short time later, police announced they charged Heather Nicole Ricci, 29, with first degree murder. She was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. According to her arrest record, Ricci also used the alias Shannon Kimberly Earl.
