  1. The Raleigh City Council meeting was Tuesday Night. Topics of discussion included the next Chief of police, as well as the proposal for apartments at Wake Forest and Whitaker Mill Rd. (WRAL)
  2. The North Carolina Museum of Art and Doretha Dix Park have planted more than eight acres in order to make Raleigh the City of Sunflowers in 2021. The blooms are expected to start in July. (Yes Weekly)
  3. Segra, one of the largest fiber infrastructure companies in the Eastern U.S. has announced that it will be expanding it's 800g-enabled network. The company will be connecting 5 cities across 3 states, including Raleigh NC. (Fierce Telecom)
  4. The victim of a drive-by shooting in Raleigh has died. The 19-year-old, Trashawn Watkins, was leaving Food Lion off Poole Road around 10:15 when a white car pulled up and shot him before driving away. He was taken to WakeMed, where he passed away from his injuries. (WRAL, abc11)
  5. Demand for gas may not be as evident as it was after the Colonial Pipeline crisis, however we are still seeing its effects. There is still a shortage due to low staffing and other influences. WBTW highlights some of the additional ripple effects. (WBTW News 13)
