Durham Bulls To Honor 30-Year Anniversary Of 'Bull Durham' Film
All you lollygaggers out there better listen to this.

DURHAM, NC — This one's for all you lollygaggers and season-long lovers: The Durham Bulls are celebrating the 30-year anniversary of the film "Bull Durham" by screening the movie Friday at Durham Athletic Park, where it was shot.
Fans are invited to watch Crash Davis (Kevin Costner) and Ebby Calvin Laloosh (Tim Robbins) swing for the fences to win Annie Savoy's (Susan Sarandon) affection - and maybe a baseball game, too.
"That evening fans will have the opportunity to watch the flick on a giant screen in the outfield, and will be able to watch the film from either the grandstand or the outfield grass," the team says.

The team says "Bull Durham" had a significant impact on Minor League Baseball, helping to raise awareness for promo nights, unique team names and branded merchandise for fans' hometown teams.
The Bulls will pay homage to the film during its June 15 game, which coincides with the 30-year anniversary of the film's world premiere. The team plans to bring back throwback uniforms - which were inspired by the uniforms the team wore in the movie. The jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Autism Society of North Carolina.

"Any true baseball fan is a fan of the movie 'Bull Durham,'" team Vice President Mike Birling said in a release. "It's a film that's stood the test of time because of its humor and authenticity, and has provided some of the best movie quotes of all-time. Anyone who thinks otherwise is no better than a lollygagger."
The team will show off various artifacts and props from the movie set during the game. The stadium videoboard will showcase different features from the movie's history, and Savoy's 1959 Volvo will be on display.
The team says Davis, Laloosh and Savoy will greet fans and take pictures as they enter the stadium. The game will be followed up with a nighttime fireworks show.
