Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Raleigh
Isolated thunderstorms will roll through the region Monday afternoon and evening.

RALEIGH, NC — Damaging winds are possible in Raleigh as thunderstorms roll through the region Monday afternoon. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for the central part of the state, saying isolated severe thunderstorms were likely through early Monday evening.
The primary danger is "damaging straight line winds," the agency said. The threat for severe weather appears greatest between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The outlook affects Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Orange, Durham, Chatham, Wake, Johnston, Wilson and Wayne counties.

On Tuesday, the likelihood of widespread hazardous weather is low, the agency said. The area should see hot and humid conditions for the later half of the week into the weekend, with heat indices between 100 and 105 degrees during that period.
