Kimbap Cafe, Korean-Inspired Restaurant In Raiegh, To Close

The restaurant will close on June 16th after five years.

RALEIGH, NC -- The Kimbap Cafe, a Korean-inspired restaurant in downtown Raleigh, is closing its doors after five years. The business, located on the 100 block of Seaboard Avenue, near Capital Boulevard, announced in a Facebook post Tuesday that its last day of service will be Saturday, June 16th.

"For the next 2 weeks, we are celebrating all the fabulousness that we have had the opportunity to be a part of!" the business wrote.

The owner, Kim Hunter, thanked her customers, employees, chefs, fellow restaurants and other industry professionals for their support.

"We thank you allowing us to feed you and get to know you over the past 5 years," she said. "Thank you for being with us. Embracing us in the neighborhood and being a part of our lives."

The post said the restaurant over the next two weeks will celebrate "all the fabulousness" that it has had the opportunity to be a part of. Hunter said Wednesday she will not be at the restaurant during its final week.

"I hope to see many of you this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for dinner," she wrote.

A reason for the closing wasn't immediately provided. Patch has reached out to the restaurant for comment and will update when we hear back.
