Free First Friday at CAM Raleigh
Explore the latest exhibits at CAM Raleigh without forking over admission during Labor Day weekend. Free First Friday is a community event that's great for the whole family, with innovative collections of art that range in subject matter from Barack Obama to street art and graffiti of beloved Disney princesses. The museum is free to the public from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1.

Savor the last days of summer in North Carolina with a culinary tour of Raleigh's finest restaurants. Taste Carolina offers gourmet guided trips of the tastiest spots to feast in the triangle, with different packages available depending on whether you're trekking with friends or the family. First Friday Jazz Series: JazzSynergy
Kick off the holiday weekend with a little culture in downtown Raleigh. First Friday Jazz Series is a community event that spotlights the triangle's best jazz musicians in a two-hour concert that is free to the public. The event starts at 9 p.m., and attendees will enjoy the stylings of the popular jazz group, a sextet called JazzSynergy.

You can share your event for free to three Patches, or if you really want to get the community's attention, you can pay $20 to feature your event. When an event is featured, it receives priority placement on the local calendar as well as on your Patch's homepage, article pages and in the daily newsletter (if available) the week before the event.
