Today brings so much news in Raleigh. From new tech companies choosing Raleigh to develop, a car chase across county lines, and legislation that could have big impacts. As an added bonus there's some pretty exciting visitors coming to Raleigh in July and August as well.

Here are the top 5 stories in Raleigh today
- SingleStore, a newer tech company, has chosen Raleigh to be home of its East Coast hub and innovation center known as The SingleStore Launch Pad. The company chose Raleigh for the tech talent in the area as well as taxes, cost of living, and more. (CBS17)
- A Johnston County police chase ended in Raleigh after Carl Wiggins led them across multiple counties fleeing in a stolen vehicle. Wiggins is husband to a missing person, and is the main suspect in her disappearance. (WRAL)
- A bill is progressing in the North Carolina House that would change the minimum age for marriage in North Carolina from 14 to 16. The bill has already gotten Senate approval and has now cleared a House committee as well. (Spectrum News 1)
- Medical marijuana legalization is being discussed in the North Carolina senate. Senate bill 711 outlines a new regulatory structure for medical cannabis allowing doctors to prescribe it for many debilitating conditions, however they have dropped several conditions from the original draft of the bill. (WRAL, WCNC)
- Wake Tech is excited to announce that some 2021 graduates will be able to attend the school at no cost. The North Carolina Longleaf Commitment Grant was recently launched as part of the Governor's Emergency Education Relief (GEER), and would allow students to receive $700-$2,800 towards their associates degree or transfer credits from a community college. (Wake Tech News)
