Raleigh DAR Chapter Announces 2021 Scholarship Opportunities

Micajah Bullock Chapter, NSDAR promotes 29 scholarships for Wake County students

RALEIGH, NC: Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science, and English. DAR’s scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.

Interested students may check out information on the National DAR Society Scholarship website. Questions may be directed to scholarships@nsdar.org. Applications must be submitted through the online portal and will be accepted through January 31, 2021 at 11:59 pm (EST).

In addition, three scholarships are available through the North Carolina Society NSDAR. All scholarship applications are due by January 31, 2021 and must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from a NCSDAR chapter. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a women’s service organization whose members can trace their lineage to an individual who contributed to securing American independence during the Revolutionary War. Today’s DAR is dynamic and diverse, with over 185,000 members in 3,000 chapters in the United States and abroad. DAR members annually provide millions of hours of volunteer service to their local communities across the country and world. DAR chapters participate in projects to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Over one million members have joined the organization since its founding in 1890.
