Raleigh Home Invasion Leads To Police Chase, Wreck In Durham
Two suspects wielding a shotgun and a machete reportedly stole an SUV from a home on Farris Court in Raleigh. A 10-minute chase ensued.
DURHAM, NC — Two people have been arrested after a Raleigh home invasion and car theft led to a police chase and wreck in Durham. Two suspects wielding a shotgun and a machete stole an SUV from a home on Farris Court in Raleigh, WTVD-TV reported.
Around 2:30 a.m., police saw the stolen SUV in Durham and a chase ensued. About 10 minutes later, the SUV crashed on West Main Street, the station reported. The names of the suspects weren't immediately released.
Photos and video posted on Twitter showed police officers investigating a large debris field surrounding a totaled GMC Envoy that laid upside down on a grassy area. A sign for the Durham History Hub was destroyed with pieces strewn across the ground.
