Raleigh Man Kills Woman Then Self Inside Their Home: Reports

RALEIGH, NC — A Raleigh man shot a woman to death inside their home on the Fourth of July holiday and then killed himself, police told media outlets.

Nicholas Robert Talarico, 34, fatally shot Ashley Lauren Talarico, 30, around 4:30p.m. Wednesday at their home on the 9400 block of Misty Creek Lane, near the Briar Creek Country Club, according to reports. He then reportedly turned the gun on himself.

A woman who said she was a landlord for the property told WRAL-TV that a mother, father and their two kidslive at the home.

WTVD-TV reported that at least 12 police vehicles were at the home Wednesday.

It wasn't immediately clear how the Talarico's are related.
