Raleigh Municipal Building Clear After Mysterious 'Incident'

The incident comes a week after the building was evacuated for a reported bomb threat. Officials haven't elaborated on the latest incident.

RALEIGH, NC — Local police and firefighters responded to the Raleigh Municipal Building on Monday morning for what police initially called an "incident." Local police confirmed there was an incident but wouldn't immediately say what happened.

The fire department says the building was cleared and back to business as usual by about 12:30 p.m. Monday. Reporters from WCNC-TV at the scene posted photos on Twitter that appear to show a heavy police presence in front of the building. Firefighters had also put up yellow tape on the 200 block of Hargett Street.

The station says a police dog was canvassing the area.
