Raleigh Students Hold Food Drive for Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

Students held food drives for Backpack Buddies, an Inter-Faith Food Shuttle program that provides children in need with weekend meals

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool Preston in Cary and Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on West Millbrook Road in Raleigh recently held food drives in partnership with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Students collected a variety of nonperishable food items, which Inter-Faith Food Shuttle will use to fill backpacks for its Backpack Buddies program. The backpacks will provide children from low-income households with nutritious child-friendly groceries for the weekend, when school lunches and breakfasts are not provided. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping children in need in their community.
