Students at Chesterbrook Academy Donate 120 Pounds of Food
Students held a food drive for Backpack Buddies, an Inter-Faith Food Shuttle program that provides children in need with weekend meals
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on West Millbrook Road in Raleigh recently held a food drive in partnership with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Students collected 120 pounds of nonperishable food items, which Inter-Faith Food Shuttle will use to fill backpacks for its Backpack Buddies program. The backpacks will provide children from low-income households with nutritious child-friendly groceries for the weekend, when school lunches and breakfasts are not provided. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping children in need in their community.
