Coronavirus In Ohio: 2,306 New Cases, 82 Deaths
COVID-19 numbers continue to trend slightly down in Ohio.

COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio health officials confirmed more than 2,300 COVID-19 cases on Friday, the state health department announced.
Over the past three weeks, Ohio's average number of daily newly confirmed COVID cases has dropped steadily. The state is now averaging 2,910 new cases per day.
Health officials have urged Ohioans to continue wearing masks and following social distancing protocols, despite the slow crawl of the vaccine rollout.

- New cases: 2,306.
- New deaths: 82.
- New hospitalizations: 152.
- New ICU admissions: 12.
Hospitalizations and intensive care admissions related to COVID-19 were up slightly on Thursday, DeWine said.
At least 880,613 Ohioans have contracted COVID-19 and recovered, the Ohio Department of Health said.
Nearly 12 percent of Ohioans have received at least the first part of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state health department. Nearly 5 percent of Ohioans have received both COVID-19 vaccine shots.
As of Friday afternoon, 1.39 million Ohioans had received at least the first shot and 576,534 Ohioans have completed the vaccination process.
