Man Dies After Wrong-Way Crash On I-90 In Cleveland

The crash occurred about 4 a.m. Thursday near West 44th Street.

A 75-year-old man died after apparently taking the wrong ramp onto Interstate 90 and crashing head-on into another driver early Thursday morning, according to media reports. The man, identified as William McNabb, was pronounced dead at the scene near West 44th Street along I-90.

The 43-year-old driver of the other vehicle suffered a broken collar bone and wrist, according to a report from Cleveland.com. The crash occurred about 4 a.m., according to the Cleveland.com report.

McNabb apparently was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes. Police continue to investigate the crash.

The road was closed for approximately an hour as police and fire crews cleared the wreckage.
