More Than 10,000 New Coronavirus Cases In Ohio, 129 Deaths
Nearly 400 Ohioans were hospitalized Friday because of COVID-19.

COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio's COVID-19 surge continued Friday.
Health officials believe the state may now begin to feel the impact of Thanksgiving dinners and parties, with all COVID-19 numbers expected to climb over the next couple of weeks, Dr. Andrew Thomas of Wexner Medical Center said Thursday.
On Friday, Ohio confirmed 10,114 new COVID-19 cases. Ohio's rolling average is now at 8,306 new cases per day. Nearly 457,000 Ohioans have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.

COVID-19-related deaths were also up on Friday. In the past 24 hours, at least 129 Ohioans died of COVID-19 complications. That's up significantly versus the state's average of 52 COVID-19-related deaths per day.

Hospitalizations related to the virus also continue to climb, with 392 Ohioans entering hospitals for COVID-19 treatment in the past 24 hours. Ohio is averaging 325 COVID-19-related hospitalizations per day.
