Ohio Coronavirus Numbers Continue Decline On Monday
The Ohio Department of Health said fewer than 3,500 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours.
COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio continues to see a decline in how many new COVID-19 cases are being confirmed daily.
On Monday, health officials confirmed 3,287 new cases of COVID-19 among Ohioans. That's the second fewest cases confirmed, over 24 hours, in the past three weeks. Ohio is currently averaging 5,434 new COVID-19 cases per day.
Deaths, hospitalizations and intensive care admissions related to the virus were also down on Monday. The state's curfew, and other COVID-19-spurred restrictions, could be lifted as Ohio's hospitalizations continue to drop.

The Ohio Department of Health estimates that 779,888 Ohioans have contracted COVID-19 and recovered.
More than 7 percent of Ohioans have received at least the first part of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state health department. As of Monday afternoon, 823,839 Ohioans have received at least the first shot.
