The Buckeyes may ask college football to postpone the national championship game due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

COLUMBUS, OH — A COVID-19 outbreak could disrupt the upcoming college football national championship game.
Ohio State University may be seeking a postponement of the game due to an outbreak of the virus among the team, according to NBC News. It's possible the Buckeyes would be down an entire position group heading into the big game.
The SEC, Big Ten, the college football playoff committee and others have started discussions on a possible postponement, according to AL.com.

The championship game was set to be played Jan. 11 in Miami. If the game is postponed, the makeup date is Jan. 18 at the same location.
Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith told the Columbus Dispatch the plan is still to play the championship game on Monday. However, he declined to say how certain he was the game would actually take place on Jan. 11.

As of Tuesday, the game is still set for Monday evening.
The Big Ten initially announced it would cancel its football season due to the spread of COVID-19. However, when other power five conferences pushed forward with games, the Big Ten relaunched its season in late October.
The Buckeyes then went 5-0 in the regular season, won the conference championship and then beat Clemson in the semi-finals of the college football playoffs.
