Since Pandemic Began, 305,000 Ohioans Test Positive For COVID-19
On Monday, more than 7,000 new positive coronavirus tests were confirmed by the Ohio Department of Health.
COLUMBUS, OH — Since the start of the pandemic, more than 300,000 Ohioans have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Monday, health officials confirmed 7,268 new cases of coronavirus among Ohioans. That brings the total number of positive tests since the pandemic began to 305,364. The Buckeye State is now averaging 5,006 new cases per day.
Twenty Ohioans died from COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours, according to the Ohio Department of Health. That's down slightly versus the state's average of 25 virus-related deaths per day.

Gov. Mike DeWine has spent weeks urging Ohioans to wear face coverings in public and resist the urge to gather together indoors. Health officials have said Ohio's hospitals are increasingly strained because of COVID-19 and are urging Ohioans to "rethink" the holidays to prevent further spread.
