Man Found Dead On Porch By Meals On Wheels Worker

The 64-year-old man died of hypothermia, authorities say.

AKRON, OH – A 64-year-old man was found dead on his porch by a Meals On Wheels delivery person on Tuesday. The man, Darnell Wilson, died of hypothermia, reported the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.

Wilson's body was found Tuesday afternoon at his home on Second Avenue, said a spokeswoman for the Medical Examiner's Office. Officials are not sure why Wilson was on his porch. He had his keys with him, "so it wasn't like he was locked out of his home," the spokeswoman said.

Wilson had health issues and chronic illnesses that may have contributed to his death, the spokeswoman said.
