3rd Baby Bald Eagle Hatches In Avon Lake
Stars and Stripes, two bald eagle parents, have seen three eggs hatch since Easter Sunday.
AVON LAKE, OH — A third baby bald eagle has hatched in a nest in Avon Lake.
Two bald eagles, named Stars and Stripes, have long nested in a tree outside of Redwood Elementary School. Students at the school created a livestream using multiple cameras so bird enthusiasts could watch the eagles day or night.
This year, the two adult bald eagles laid three eggs. The first egg hatched Easter Sunday, the second egg hatched the following Monday, and the third egg hatched Thursday, according to the Avon Lake Schools.

Bird lovers can watch the babies progress in the video below.
Now that the third baby bald eagle has hatched, the Avon Lake Schools will move forward with a naming contest for the bird. The students at nearby Redwood Elementary will pick names for the trio of baby bald eagles.
