4th Of July Weather: Holiday Forecast For Avon

AVON, OH — Before your head to the 4th of July fireworks or Great Avon Bike Ride, be sure to pack a little extra sunscreen before you go.

As we approach the holiday, your Independence Day festivities are no doubt confirmed. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature is fickle and could always step in and ruin the best-laid plans with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.

So far, Avon and Avon look as if they could avoid the worst of Mother Nature’s wrath, according to the most recent forecast for our area.

Want a second opinion? The National Weather Service forecast calls for partly sunny afternoons on Saturday and Sunday. Clouds could form overnight on both days, but there's only a 30-percent chance of rain over the weekend.

AccuWeather predicts highs in the mid-70s on both Saturday and Sunday, with a slim chance of rain falling on both days.
